Your Daily Giant 7/31/2013

Today's Daily Giant comes from the History of Franklin County Indiana, August Jacob Reifel 1915. pg. 548. The description with the photo is as follows,

"Unique Chert Hoes found in Moraine, Twelve feet below the surface, surrounding Skeleton of Prehistoric Giant, Height seven feet six inches. Seen in Museum of T. L. Dickerson, Brookville."

Theophilius L. Dickerson also reported giant skeletons found with strange hieroglyphs in his book, "Artifacts of Vanished Races."

One of the skeptics claims is that these accounts were just attempts to sell books and newspapers Boy, today's Daily Giant is a pretty sensationalized account, don't you think? Mr Reifel was just trying to sell books with this tiny blurb I guess. But perhaps the most feeble of the skeptics arguments is that all of these, and remember we have about 1500 separate reports, are misidentified mastodon bones and hoaxes. Do you think you could tell the difference between a human skeleton and a mastodon skeleton? Did mastodons carry around bags of "Unique Chert Hoes"? Can the professional skeptic even look him or herself in the mirror with these infantile arguments? I think they all just need a hug.
