From the Sunday Vindicator September 12th 1897, we find another of over a thousand individual unique giant reports we have uncovered. This one from Indiana is of a nine foot skeleton. It is reported that "the femur bone is a yard along". This account is very telling because of several reasons. The body was buried in a sitting posture with the face to the east, this burial technique has been noted over and over in these finds including the town history of Deerfield Ma. 8 foot skeleton with double rows of teeth. The massive under jaw is noted as much larger than that of an ordinary man, like so many other accounts the anatomic anomaly of a massive jaw is once again described. If some clown was creating a hoax would he know to include little known burial techniques and anatomic anomalies. Not likely. An interesting discovery of this burial practice of burying the dead seated, facing east was found recently.

Anthropologists have set his, or her, age to be between 30,000 and 33,000 years It was the oldest skeleton ever found in northern Africa. A team from the University of Leuven found the skeleton buried in a seated position facing east, with the head turned upward, the director of the council's excavation department, Attiya Radwan, said. It was found in a mountain cavern in Dandara, 550 kilometres south of Cairo, along with shards of pottery from the same period, he said. The pottery debris could be the oldest in the world after some found in China, going back 35,000 years, he said.
