Your Daily Giant 1/6/2013

Another account, another mention of the Smithsonian involvement. This one is from Catahoula Parish La. In the 12th annual Smithsonian Ethnology report from 1890-1891 is reported mound excavations in Catahoula Parish. This included a description of the Troyville mound site in Catahoula whose dimensions are as follows. A mile long earthen wall 7 to 8 feet tall, 20 to 25 feet wide enclosed an area over 100 acres. The large mound in the enclosed area was 250 long, 160 feet wide at the base and before it was disturbed 75 feet high with a nearly sharp summit. The Mound Builders are believed to have first started their awe inspiring constructions in La. with the creation of Watson Brake in 3400 B.C. Why isn't this information taught in High Schools and Colleges, no one claims that these things did not occur but they are largely ignored. One of the most awesome and inspiring civilizations in history and we know virtually nothing about them. Let's hear what the skeptics have to say about that, I am sure a racist paradigm has nothing to do with it.
