Today's Daily Giant comes from the Calgary Herald, Oct. 30, 1953, pg 33. Reported is the excavation of 2 giant 4000 year old warriors in Sasari, Sardinia. The skeletons, which are mentioned to be intact, were both more than 8 feet tall. How many of your friends are over 8 feet? How about 2 of them. On Sardinia is found the "Tomb of the Giants". The orthodox explanation is that it is called that because the stones are so giant, not because Sardinian oral history says they were built by giants. I guess all around the world, populations apparently were just as unimaginative calling other places with giant stones a place of the giants. Stonehenge is called the "Giant's Dance" and the area has produced several giant skeleton finds including a 9 foot 4 inch skeleton unearthed there in 1719. In Malta you find the massive megalithic temples named after giants, Maltese folklore describes giants as having built the temples also. "Giant's graves" in France and other places have also yielded giant skeletal remains. History is filled with brilliant and competent chroniclers who all throughout the ages spoke about and recorded the existence of giants. Are we to believe that not one of them got it right? That somehow they suffered the same disorder as countless thousands of people in the last couple of centuries when viewing giant skeletal remains. An amazingly pervasive disorder that fogs the mind so profoundly that you can't tell human bones from animal bones and you have no ability to measure or observe correctly. Flavius Josephus wrote in the 2nd century, "There were till then left the race of giants, who had bodies so large, and countenances so entirely different from other men, that they were surprising to the sight.....the bones of these men are still shown to this very day, unlike any creditable relations to other men." Do you think FJ was just making up a hoax to gain some street cred?
